4th of July Coffee Burger!
Hey Catfight Crew!
My mom wrote this blog and I thought I would pass it on..she writes a few of them but this one has 'that's my mom' written all over it and also perfect timing with the 4th of July weekend coming up.
I read this recipe for the “Perfect Homemade Hamburger Recipe” and thought –OMG! – it uses coffee!!
I haven’t tried it just yet but thought I would pass it on to get your feedback on whether this really is “The Perfect Hamburger.” Let me know how yours turns out!!
I love all the listed ingredients so it’s got to be great!
Ingredients:
-2 pounds of ground beef
-1 slice of white bread with crust removed
-4 tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce
-1 tablespoon of ground coffee beans
-3 garlic cloves (minced)
-2 tablespoons of olive oil
-Salt & Pepper
Directions:
Make of crust mixture of three parts black pepper, one part salt and one part minced garlic and set aside.
Crush your bread with a fork and add coffee and garlic mix. Add that to your ground beef and work it in. Remember not to “over” work the beef.
Make patties into 8 burgers and use your thumb to press in the middle so they are concave.
Roll the edges of each one into the crust mixture.
Use a cast iron skillet with a drizzle of avocado oil (I think olive oil would work just as well) – actually better than grilling!
Cook the burgers in the skillet about 3 minutes on each side or to desired doneness.
Don’t forget to share your opinion of the recipe. And/or little variations you may have come up with!
Let us know what you would name this coffee burger!
